Island Equine Rescue

The Island Equine Rescue and Recovery Society is located on beautiful Vancouver Island British Columbia Canada, and has been in operation since 2001. Our agency has placed over a hundred PMU foals and horses as well as many horses on and off Vancouver Island. We network with foster homes, non profit societies, and other rescue organizations for horses on the Island as well as Canada and the US with a common goal of rescuing, rehabilitating and adoption.Our facility is designed to give distressed, homeless or retired horses a little R&R time. Our horses come from all walks of life, and all sorts of backgrounds.

Equine Rescue & Recovery Society is a non profit and non political organization. It is our chief concern to rescue and recover young usable horses. We also help senior horses find a respectful retirement.
